Student accommodation in Swansea - dates for recycling and waste collection 2011-2012

Recycling and waste collection information

We aim to help with the sorting and storage of your recycling and waste by providing you with brightly coloured recycling bins, as well as the normal black refuse bins and kitchen waste caddies.

This means that every member of the house can easily see what should be placed in each bin and it makes sorting waste a much easier process.

In 2011 the council began a two-weekly recycling and waste collection service which means that, although kitchen waste is collected every week, black waste bags are only collected every other week. This change reinforces the necessity of recycling and sorting waste properly.

The collection details for our student accommodation in Swansea are shown below:

The council categorise the collection dates as either green week or pink week.
